Material Concepts, Inc. - Return Policies and Shipping Information

We guarantee every product we sell. Our success depends on the quality of our products and services. As your preferred vendor we will work hard to earn your business and confidence. Should we ever fall short of your expectations, we would greatly appreciate your feedback and consider it a tremendous favor if you would immediately bring this to our attention. We greatly appreciate your business and want you to be satisfied with our products and services.

General Returns Policy
You may return new, unopened items within 30 days of delivery for a full refund. Items should be returned in their original packaging. We'll also pay the return shipping costs if the return is a result of our error. Contact Us and we will guide you through the process quickly and easily.

Items that are Not Returnable
Material Concepts, Inc. does not accept returns of the following items:

  • Hazardous items that contain flammable liquids.
  • Items custom converted or manufactured to specification.
  • Tyvek® sheets, Tyvek® 10 yard/Prototype rolls, Tyvek® “odd rolls.”

Partial Refunds
Partial Refunds will be issued for the following items:

  • Any item that is returned more than 30 days after delivery.
  • Any item that has obvious signs of use.
  • Any item not returned in the condition it was received.

Refunds - How and When Refunds Are Processed
We'll issue a refund in the same form of payment originally used for the purchase within 3 to 5 business days of our receiving your return. (If you paid by check, it will take longer for you to receive the refund.)

How Refunds Are Calculated
The amount of your refund depends on several factors:

  • The cost of return shipping is deducted from your refund unless the return is the result of our error.
  • Items that meet our general returns policy will receive a full refund.
  • Items that do not meet our general returns policy will receive only partial refunds:
    • Any unopened item in original condition that is returned more than 30 days after delivery: 80% of item's price.
    • Any qualifying item that has obvious signs of use: 50% of item's price.
    • Any item that is not in its original condition, is damaged, or is missing parts for reasons not due to our error: up to 50% of item's price.

Canceling an Order
You may cancel your order provided that the order has not already shipped and/or is not already being custom converted or manufactured to specification.

If the item you want to cancel has already shipped, Contact Us for assistance. The cost associated with shipping and returning will be deducted from your refund unless the item shipped is a result of our error.

If the item you want to cancel has already entered the converting or manufacturing process it cannot be canceled by our customer service department. However, upon notifying us notifying us that the order needs to be canceled, we will make every effort to stop the converting/manufacturing process quickly, and will only charge for machine/equipment set up fees and materials that have already been converted. It is rare, but in some instances material that is to be custom converted or manufactured undergoes certain preparations that may render the material unable to return to stock. In these instances we are unable to process a refund for all materials and set up fees associated with the order.

Return Authorization Number Required
Every return must have a return authorization number displayed prominently on the outside of the shipping box to ensure your return is correctly processed. Return authorization numbers will be given to you when you Contact Us to process your return.

Shipping Information - When Your Shipment Arrives

  • By UPS
    If your shipment is being delivered by UPS, the driver will bring the merchandise inside - simply sign for it. If there is any damage, call one of our customer service representatives at 800-372-3366 to assist you.
    • If there is damage, be sure to keep the box and item together in the event UPS comes to inspect or pick up the damaged item. All shipping materials associated with the package must be kept for at least 7 days pending UPS inspection.

  • By Truck
    In the case of a truck delivery, the driver will normally not unload the merchandise and will require you to take merchandise from the truck inside (unless inside delivery was requested when the order was placed).
    • Please do not refuse any shipment before calling us!
    • Examine the carton or pallet closely on all sides. If the carton is damaged or the stretch wrap on the pallet is ripped, gashed, or appears damaged in any way, you have the right to open it to inspect the contents (ICC Regulation 120).
    • The driver will ask for your signature. Be sure to note any damage, including scuffs, dents, tears or creases on the delivery receipt when signing for the freight. If there are any problems with the delivery, please call one of our customer service specialists at 800-372-3366 before signing. If you sign a delivery receipt without notating damage, the freight company may not honor any damage claim processed.
    • Please call us within five days of receiving damaged merchandise. Have your delivery receipt available to provide necessary information when calling our customer service representatives at 800-372-3366.
    • If you discover any damage, please save all packaging. The trucking company cannot properly do an inspection without evaluating the packaging.
